Heater Blower Motor Fan Speed Inoperative

the blower motor worked only on high speed when i purchased. it has since ceased operating at any speed.however intermitantly the blower motor operated when hitting rough bumps . what are the elements or items involved in the  electrical chain that can be trouble shot for this model OR WHAT IS THE MOST effcient way to troubleshoot the chain for this type of problem thanks
