What Happens To The Car When The Traction Control Light Is On

The TCS is in charge of traction and that is all. When it senses that one, or more of the tires has lost traction, due to rain, snow, ice, or a number of other reasons ,its job is to force that tire to regain traction. It usually does that by slowing the engine until the tires catch up and then accelerates again unless a tire should happen to break loose again, then it will do it over again. This is controlled by your computer and is completely separate from your ABS system (automatic braking system).
