Can I Reasonable Tow A Trailer With My 1999 Mercury Sable Station Wagon.

Planning a move across country. I'm not taking any furniture only lamps, art, computer, cookware, and other items. Was thinking of buying some type of trailer to tow rather than spending so much with UPack, a small pod or other types of services. Need advise on size or type of trailer (small utility trailer) and weight considerations in packing the wagon. Bad idea for a one way move?
