How Many Miles Per Gallon Does A 1998 Mercury Sable Get, City And Highway?

When this was originally released, it was rated to get about 18 city and 27 highway. Several factors such as mileage of the vehicle now, maintenance and care it has received over the years, driving habits and more could make your numbers less. I would estimate, based on average mileage for a car this old and assuming standard care, you are likely to get about 14 city and 21 highway. I hope that this helps!

Driving 34 miles/day in Long Island,NY which is a mixture of highway and stop and go, I average 19-20MPG.
