Early Termination Fees When Mediacom Can't Provide Service In Our Area
Harvest Bible Chapel entered into a contract with Mediacom for services at our initial location. We since have purchased a property in the same community (Clear Lake) and requested transfer of the Mediacom service to the new address. We then learned that Mediacom does not provide service to this address thus necessitating termination of the contract. Representatives of Mediacom are telling us we will have to pay up the remainder of the contract because of early termination. However, it is our contention that Mediacom is in breach of contract since they cannot provide services to us. We want to resolve this problem and would like to contact the Regional Vice President, Douglas Frank, but have not been able to obtain a mailing address or telephone number for him nor his regional office in Cedar Rapids, IA. We need help in resolving this.

According to everything I can find; unfortunately there is no way to waive the early termination fee. Even if you move out of their service area, you are still bound by the agreement. For a 2-year agreement the ETF is $240 which dropps $30 every 3 months. The RVP's personal info is slim to none. I do wish you luck in locating him.
I hope this is helpful to you!
