My Electric Power Steering
Hi, I have an '05 RX-8 Shinka, and I've lost my power steering again. It happened a month ago, and the dealership told me it was the torque sensor. The rack/pinion is covered under my extended warranty. But, the torque sensor isn't. Eventhough, you can't take it out and replace it. It's stupid, I know.So, I had to buy a new/used rack/pinion. Now, a week ago, I was in a automated carwash. And, when the under body started to get washed, my steering wheel glitched twice, and the power steering went out again. The dealership told me that it's not the rack/pinion or torque sensor. That, it's probably a broken/losse wire somewhere. They want another $240 to look for it, ontop of the $1000, I paid for the new/used rack/pinion. Can you give me some advice on what I can do, or, what you think it may be? I'd really appreciate it.
