O/d Light Flashing
My 2003 mazda tribute O/D Light started flashing and id shifting hard .

What does it mean when O'd is flashing?
All it means is that the overdrive in your car is off. ... If your overdrive light is flashing or blinking, you are not going to be able to correct the issue by pushing a button. It means that something is wrong with your car's transmission - perhaps the range or speed sensors, or the solenoid.

What does o d off mean in a Mazda Tribute?
overdrive
O/D means overdrive. It changes the gear rations to give you a little extra ooomph when you need it. The engine will stay in gear longer to give you a little more power.
