The red light that flashes to the right of the "check engine" light is associated with the air bags. When the driver's seat is moved forward or back it trips a wire under the seat. Sometimes just moving the seat again will stop it's annoyance. Very common in this model from what I read the airbags will still work. But... that IDK I've just gotten used to it.
