B3000 4x4 2002 Cut Out At 3200 Rpm

My vehicle cuts out at 3200 rpm under 1/2 to 3/4 load cuts out and causes the vehicle to jolt. According to diagnostics the vehicle fuel pump briefly shuts off. Is thus comon for a failing pump or dirtied filter?
