Washer Will Not Continue With Cycle.

My sensing light comes on when i start the machine as well as the lid lock light. a couple of seconds later the lid lock light goes off and it doesnt continue on with the cycle. Do I need a new washer?

You need a shift actuator. Very easy to I stall but good luck getting the part from maytag.
