What Caused Two Cracks In My Stator

while I was changing out my bearings I noticed my stator has two big cracks what causes that?

This is a commen fine when doing a bearing and seal replacement of this machine.

If the cracks in the stator do not run to the outter rim, it will work fine and no need to replace. I have replaced many bearings and I fine most stators have cracked due to heat produced by the motor.
