In Locked Position
How can I unlock the washing machine? received an error code and now washer will not unlock. Is there a reset I haven't tried

There are a few things you can try to unlock your Maytag MVW7232HW washing machine if it is locked and you have received an error code.
Unplug the washing machine from the power outlet. Wait for a few minutes, then plug it back in. This will reset the washing machine and may unlock the door.
Try the emergency release button. This button is usually located on the back of the washing machine. It is a small, red button that you can press with a pen or other pointed object. Pressing this button will release the door lock and allow you to open the door.
