Maytag Epic Z In Brazil

We are Americans who moved thier household belongings to Brazil. All appliances worked great for the exception of the Maytag Epic Z front load washer. The door is stuk in the locked position and light sensor says no clothes are loaded. I can't get past this point or reset this machine. Anyone have any ideas?
