Model # Mfw9700sb0 Front Load Washer It Says Control Locked And I Cant Do Anythi

the washing machine will not do anything and the red light on it says! control locked

The control lock button is a safety feature on Maytag appliances. One purpose is as a child-proof device. If you have accidentally pressed the control lock button it can be dis-armed by holding the "cycle-end" button" for 3-5 seconds. In fact, there is a message under the button that describes what I provide here.

If this does not work there may be another method to dis-arm the control lock button, or it could be an indication of a more serious problem. Refer to Maytag customer service for further assistance.
