Unplug the refrigerator from the electrical outlet or turn off the circuit breaker that powers it.

Remove any food items from the freezer compartment and place them in a cooler or another cold storage area.

Locate the defrost timer, which is typically located behind the refrigerator's kick plate or in the refrigerator's control panel. Refer to the owner's manual for the specific location of the defrost timer on your model.

Turn the defrost timer clockwise with a flathead screwdriver until you hear a click. This will initiate a defrost cycle.

Wait approximately 30 minutes for the defrost cycle to complete.

Turn the defrost timer back to its original position to restart the refrigerator's cooling cycle.

Plug the refrigerator back into the electrical outlet or turn on the circuit breaker.

1. Locate the defrost timer. It is usually located at the back of the refrigerator, behind the access panel. If you are unsure of the location, consult the owner's manual.

2. Turn the defrost timer manually to the defrost mode. Check the timer for a small knob or screw that can be turned. Turn this knob or screw until it clicks into the defrost mode. This will activate the defrost heater and turn off the cooling system.

3. Wait for the defrost cycle to complete. The defrost cycle typically lasts for about 20-30 minutes, during which time the heater will melt any ice buildup on the evaporator coils.

4. Return the defrost timer to the normal operating mode. Rotate the timer knob or screw in the opposite direction until it clicks back into the normal operating mode. The cooling system will resume normal operation and the refrigerator will start cooling again.

Note: Manually activating the defrost cycle is not recommended as it may cause damage to the refrigerator. It is always best to allow the defrost cycle to activate automatically at regular intervals, as programmed by the manufacturer.
