Why Can I Not Get All Numbers I Dial??

I try to dial numbers then get busy signal twice then open line with no sound.

When that has happened to me - (I had a week earlier this year where the numbers I dialed that were local or close by long distance got me people in Germany, Japan and Sweden - not too happy as it was middle of night when I called them there!) I tried all the 'uninstalling, unplugging, downloading again etc.' that was suggested - and - as it happened, it just took time and contacting customer service REPEATEDLY about it - and so I suggest you contact the live agent / customer care link about this RIGHT AWAY - and repeately about it - the squeaky wheel gets the grease - as the saying goes - and so, after 4 days of live chats with someone on at least 6 diff. chats - it was resolved. Not sure why - but don't care as long as they got it fixed. Something to do with my local phone company they thought - however, I don't use a 'local prefix' so I'm not sure how they could determine what the cause was.
