Number Goes 'inactive' When I Call My Own Number.!! Help!!

When anyone tries to call me (including myself), the number starts to connect, then displays "INACTIVE" and cuts me off. I cannot fix this!!

If your telephone does not ring:

1. Make sure the ringer on your telephone is in the ON position

2. Make sure that the ringer volume is in the proper position

If that does not work:

Try a different telephone

NOTE: Make sure your phone cord (connecting the base unit with the magicJack) is not longer than six feet.
