Can I cancel my phone service prior to purchasing magic jack or do I need a working phone line?

magicJack requires one of the following Internet connections:

Broadband
High-Speed Internet
Cable Internet
*DSL
WiFi
Wireless
WiMax

A minimum bandwidth UPLOAD speed of 128 kb/s is required.

*Land Line maybe needed for DSL
