Why Are Local Calls Charged Long Distance Rates?

My local friends will not use my magic jack number because they are charged long distance rates by their phone company?

When you chose your magicJack phone number, you selected one with a non-local area code. That's easy to fix, however.

On my.magicjack.com, select the My Subscriptions tab and then click the button for Change Phone Number.
