When you sign up for magic jack (register your magic jack and get the service activated) - (you do this when you are setting it up the 1st time) - you will be directed to go through and choose an area code and prefix and they will assign you a number. From that time on - your number will show up on your screen when you make a call on your magic jack - so you'll always know it - plus you are sent log in info with that on it as well via email.
