Why Doesn't Magicjack Have Tone?

first, not detect the USB device I had to download the latest driver TigerJet and reboot my notebook. second, I've installed and registered normally MJ until it displays the message "ready to make calls" but I can not hear the tone of the phone..why???. I have an notebook hp G60-230US with OS XP Professional(Service Pack 3), the phone is located to the left and 1 meter of distance from the notebook.

Does your magicJack softphone read "Ready to Call"?

If YES:

On your magicJack softphone:
Click "Menu"
Select "Volume/Headset Control"
Choose and "Check Off" Your Device:

"Telephone" OR "Headset/Other"

If that does not work:

Unplug your telephone from your magicJack BUT leave your magicJack connected to the computer.
Place a test call using the magicJack softphone.
If the call goes through, please try using a different phone with your magicJack.

If your magicJack softphone does not read "Ready to Call" please contact our online live chat.
