How To Not Get Charged Twice For Porting A Number.

I paid $20 to port a number from my Sprint account. Yesterday, I get an email from MagicJack saying the following: "we are unable to port your telephone number because SPRINT has notified us that they already have a port request in process for your number. Should you resolve this problem in the future and still want to transfer your telephone number to your magicJack, please log into your magicJack account and initiate a new request by clicking on the “My Subscriptions” tab and then clicking “Transfer My Number”." Well, I settled the problem with Sprint so I entered MagicJack's and saerched for "my subscription" (maybe I'm in the wrong area) but they took me through the same process as before and wanted to charge me the $20 fee again.  What to do?

With any ordinary company this could be easily resolved with customer service. However magicJack's customer support is for the most part magically lacking. You can try phoning them, at 561-594-9925. You may also reach magicJack by writing:
    c/o Ymax Communications
    PO BOX 6785
    West Palm Beach, FL 33405

If all else fails, you can dispute any payment with your credit card provider or complain to the Florida Dept. of Agriculture and Consumer Services, at 850-488-2221 or 2005 Apalachee Pkwy., Tallahassee, FL 32399. If it's within 30 days, you can return the product using these instructions.
