plus his phone is a cell phone. if this is the case i wish to return the magic jack. otherwise i already dad unlimited long distance calls. i am not happy with the magicjack if this is the case, i just ourchased it two weeks ago. please advise. before i write a letter to the betterbussunessbureau. thanks. ella snyder

Yours is representative of a disturbingly common complaint. magicJack promises free domestic calls, without limitation, and you're entitled to that benefit.

Your first step might be to reset the device, as explained here. If that doesn't work:

If it's within 30 days, you can return the product using these instructions, but you'll have to bear the cost of return shipping. If magicJack is not fulfilling the terms of its promise, I urge you to complain to the Florida Attorney General at 850-414-3990, and the Florida Dept. of Agriculture and Consumer Services, at 850-488-2221 or 2005 Apalachee Pkwy., Tallahassee, FL 32399. You may also want to dispute your payment with your credit/debit card provider.
