When Can You Port Your Existing Phone # With Magicjack+? After Free Trial?

If you sign up for free trial can you port your number during the trial if you like it? Or do you have to wait until you pay and then will be prompted if you want to port? At what point can I cancel my regular phone line and not worry about losing my phone number?

magicJack Plus documentation does not exclude that function from the free trial, so one would have to assume it's included. If that's the only issue, sign up for the free trial and see if it meets your needs. magicJack is a good product at a tiny price, but you should be aware of risks and lack of support. It's not really a good idea to rely on it as your only way of phoning. More here.

You can transfer at anytime, but be warded: MAGICJACK CHARGES $30 to port you old number over, THEN $10 a year EVERY YEAR FOR A PORTED NUMBER. THIS IS IN ADDITION TO TH $20 OR $3O YEARLY FEE, PLUS ANOTHER $30 TO PORT OUT OF MAGICJACK IF YOU DON'T LIKE THEIR SERVICE! THE BOTTOM LINE IS A PORTED PHONE NUMBER TO MAGIC JACK COST BETWEEN 33% TO 25% EXTRA EVERY YEAR YOU USE MAGIC JACK. THIS MAKES MAGIC JACK THE MOST EXPENSIVE PHONE NUMBER PORTING COSTS IN THE WORLD! That's how much does it cost to port a phone number to magicJack. So you may want to get out of magicjack because besides the poor customer service, the magicjack plus freezes up all the time and is not reliable.
