The turbo is located in the exhaust manifold, which is separate from the engine block. So unless the head gasket failure is also causing damage to the exhaust manifold, the turbo will not need to be replaced.
In some cases, a head gasket failure can also damage the engine bearings. If this is the case, the bearings will also need to be replaced along with the engine.
I hope this answers your question.
Here are some additional things to keep in mind:
The 2.0L EcoBoost engine in your Lincoln MKC is known to have a problem with coolant leaks. This is a design defect that has been the subject of a class-action lawsuit.
If you have a 2015-2019 Lincoln MKC with a 2.0L EcoBoost engine, it is important to monitor your coolant level regularly and have the vehicle serviced by a qualified mechanic as soon as you notice any signs of a coolant leak.
If your Lincoln MKC needs a new engine due to a coolant leak, the warranty should cover the cost of the repair. However, it is important to read the terms of your warranty carefully to make sure that you are covered.
I hope this helps!
