Check Compass Module Light Illuminated On My Dash

I have a 2007 Lincoln mkx. The check compass module light illuminated on my dash panel. What does that mean? What do I need to do?

The compass module is the part that reads compass headings for the cluster display. You have the code checked with a scan, and should be able to get that done free. (Try an auto parts store.)
