1997 Lincoln Towncar O2 Sensor

How to test and replace O2 senors on a 1997 Lincoln Towncar Signature Series car ?

Hi! you will need to get your car coded with an OBD scanner to check for error codes. The following are the codes related to the O2 sensors and their part numbers.

Error codes
P0131 P0133, Upstream sensor, Bank 1 (on the right, right?)
P0136, P0141, Downstream on the right
P0151, P0153, Upstream on the left bank, bank #2
P0156, P0161, Downstream on the left bank, bank #2

The FIRST oxygen sensor in cylinder bank #1 is numbered HO2S11.
The SECOND oxygen sensor in cylinder bank #1 is numbered HO2S12.
The FIRST oxygen sensor in cylinder bank #2 is numbered HO2S21.
The SECOND oxygen sensor in cylinder bank #2 is numbered HO2S22.
