Why Does My G480 Have ' 60% Plugged In Not Charging'

The message in the title shows up near the battery health bubble. Battery 60%, plugged in, not charging.

This is usually caused by an error of the battery of your Lenovo G480. The best solution for this by following these steps:

1. Drain the battery charge of your laptop until it is empty

2. Charge the battery in full without using it or while turned off

3. After the battery is fully charged, you can now use it again just like your usual routine.

I would suggest that you should not charger your laptop while using it because it cause battery memory conflict or damage.

I guess you changed something on the Lenovo program labeled "Energy Management" placed on the taskbar (the blue and white bicycle logo, it shows when you connected the charger). I made that also on my Lenovo G480 laptop. You turned the battery mode to OPTIMIZED BATTERY HEALTH. You must change it again to its default setting which is the MAXIMUM BATTERY LIFE and charge it again to make the battery 100%. Hope this solution work :)
