I Heard Something Rattling Inside Of My Lasko Fan And Now The Motor Has Stopped.

I heard something rattling inside of my lasko fan and now the motor has stopped. How do I take it apart to remove the obstruction ?

Unplug the fan and restart after 10 min. If it doesn't work, you can try to open it and check for any crumbs or something and clean it

Turning off your Lasko heater and unplugging it for 10 minutes will reset it. If after 10 minutes the unit does not turn on please contact our Customer Service Team at 800-233-0268 (M-F 8am-5pm ET).

Turn off and unplug your portable fan. ...
Remove the front grill from the fan. Box fans often have screws or clips around the outside edges of the grill. ...
Pull the fan blades off the motor shaft

Clean the dust of the blades. When dust build up on top the blades gets thick, it can throw off the balance. This makes something rub when it gets spinning fast. You may also notice a slight wobble when the fan is running. I know this can happen. This happened to me. It only made noise on high speed. After cleaning the blades, the wobble and ticking noise stopped.
