To remove the fan stand on the Lasko A20700 fan for cleaning, please follow these steps:

Unplug the fan from the power source for safety.
Locate the fan stand, which is the circular or rectangular base of the fan that provides stability.
Look for any screws or clips securing the fan stand to the main body of the fan. These may be located on the bottom of the stand or along its edges.
If there are screws, use a screwdriver appropriate for the screw heads (typically Phillips or flathead) to loosen and remove them. Set the screws aside in a safe place.
If there are clips, carefully pry them open using your fingers or a flathead screwdriver. Be gentle to avoid damaging the fan or the stand.
Once the screws or clips have been removed, lift the fan stand away from the main body of the fan. It may require some gentle wiggling or twisting to detach it completely.
