Direct Drive Wm2301hr Washing Machine Leaving Black Lines On Clothes

Sometimes when we do a wash load, the clothes come out with black lines on them. Last night we ran a machine tub clean and the wash today came out with the lines on them again. When we spray the lines we are able to wash them out so I do n ot think they are grease. Has anyone else had this problem?

It's quite possible that you're running into the same problems as many other LG washing machine customers.  Many are complaining about a black mold on their clothes as well as mildewy smells.  Go to this Consumer Affairs page and search (hit Ctrl + F) for black mold.  You'll see what I'm talking about.

However, this doesn't seem to be a problem associated only to LG.  It is a problem with all front-loading washers (be sure to read their advice in how to handle the issue).  But, as far as front-loading washers go, you have the cream of the crop.
