Lg Dryer Not Drying Clothes Completely

If fabric softener sheets are used--this coats the moisture sensor with wax residue. This in turn causes a "false dry" signal near the end of the cycle.
The sensor is located on the lint filter HOUSING. Looking into the drum--at the filter housing--two stainless steel strips of metal can seen. Clean the sensor with a ScotchBrite pad after every load of laundry in which a fabric softener sheet was used. This removes wax residue and maintains accurate sensor function.
The *DRY LEVEL* selector can be set to *Very Dry* for every load. This has nothing to do with changing the heat setting. By selecting the *Very Dry* option---the cycle duration (run time) is increased to allow more run time---only if needed. This can help dry loads of fabrics which are heavy--such as towels and denims. Any *Time Remaining* that is not needed will automatically be removed from the Time Remaining display (except for the last 6 minutes). The final 6 minutes of every automatic cycle will be--NO Heat/Cool Down and then shut off.
