Confusion Regarding My New La Fitness Membership.

My wife and I recently became LA Fitness members at a new location on Cattleman Rd. in Sarasota, Fl. We took advantage of  an introductory offer for a one time activation fee, plus a rate of $20 each locked in for the lifetime of our membership. We did this before the official announcement that LAF was taking over our existing gym locations, at Lifestyles in the Sarasota locations. I just received notification that LAF was buying all the existing memberships of Lifestyles members, and they would be honoring the old contracts. So, I currently have two memberships, with my lifestyles currently on vacation hold. I would like to drop the old Lifestyles contract and keep the LA fitness contract because the rate is better, and I have an LAF location near my summer residence in Norwalk, Ct. I called the LAF number in Sarasota, but the information I've been receiving is that they are not exactly sure how to handle my situation. How should I proceed....Steve Ronis
