Replacing A Lost S1220 Software Dongle
is there a way that I can replace a lost dongle for my S1220 photo scanner? Or is there a way to opperate the system without the dongle?

The hardware key included with the product is a software security device (also known as a USB key, WIBU key or dongle) which allows the KODAK s1220 Photo Scanning System software to operate. Without it, you cannot run the software. Each hardware key has a specific serial number corresponding to a particular product. Only one key is provided per system and these are tracked by Kodak. If you have problems with the hardware key, call the Kodak support center. The Kodak support center representative will diagnose the problem. If your hardware key is defective and under warranty, a new hardware key will be shipped to you. When you receive your new hardware key, you will be provided with instructions on how to return your original hardware key. If you do not return the original key, you will be charged for another KODAK s1220 Photo Scanning System. Additional hardware keys are available for purchase at a reduced price while the KODAK s1220 Photo Scanning System is under a Service Maintenance Agreement, otherwise you will be charged the current list price of a complete KODAK s1220 Photo Scanning System. DO NOT LOSE your key. We suggest attaching the hardware key to the USB cable that comes with the scanner or attach it to the PC.
