Kenmore Elite Side By Side
I have a Kenmore Elite side by side refrigerator. I purchased this unit less than 2 years ago. The ice maker has stopped working. The freezer no longer keeps items frozen. Now the refrigerator is not maintaining any kind of temperature. This is a huge inconvenience. I paid well over one thousand dollars for this refrigerator. I would not recommend Kenmore to my worst enemy as their products fail within two years. I feel I was completely ripped off by Sears and Kenmore. I should not have to pay for a service visit and then subsequent fees to fix a relatively new refrigerator. Can you please compensate me in any fashion as the 1year warranty is expired. Sorry for your problems--but you seem to be confusing us, an independent help site, with Sears or Kenmore. In any case, here's my advice:
As you probably know, your fridge is out of warranty. It's still possible you may get a concession of some sort from the manufacturer, but to angrily make demands to which you're not legally entitled does not serve your interest. Instead, I suggest (in a less demanding way) you try the corporate contact information here--http://www.corporateofficeowl.com/kenmore/Corporate%20Office. Written requests are usually the most effective.
