How Do I Get Access To The Vacuum Motor Of A Kenmore 35923 Upright Vacuum?

I am smelling a burning odor, and I think it is due to some dirt getting into the vacuum motor of my upright vacuum.  I want to get access to the motor so I can try to clean and lubricate it.
