2008 Jeep Liberty Hood Rod

Where does the hood rod support on a 2008 jeep liberty connect too? Mine came completely out and I can't seem to find where it connects too.

There is a hole on the passenger side of the plastic shroud behind the coolant/wiper fluid reservoir that the rod goes into.
