How Do I Activate The Headset To Lg Optimus V?

i have misplaced my manual and can"t remember how to set it up. This is my first smart phone. everytime i try to pair it with the phone the symbol comes up on the phone but the headset turns itself off.

To pair the Jabra BT2080 with your new phone, start with the headset turned ON, then press and hold the answer/end button until the Bluetooth status light is flashing constantly. This is pairing mode. Once in this mode, you should be able to "find" the BT2080 and add it as a new device from the phone's Bluetooth menu.
