Verify that the transmission fluid is filled to the proper level. There could be a number of causes but it will take a mechanic to validate them.
  • There may be a vacuum leak
  • The torque converter may be failing
  • The transmission may need to be removed and serviced
  • The fluid may be low (a very likely cause)
Unless you are a mechanic there will be little you can do to address this beyond checking the fluid level.Good luck...
