Oil Indicator Light Stays On After I Start The Engine

Have you checked the oil? That light only means one thing, low oil pressure. That comes from either a lack of oil or months and months of not changing the oil. And it should NEVER be driven when that light is on. With the engine off, pull the dipstick and add whatever amount is needed to read full. Your engine holds 4 quarts.
Tip:Change your oil every 3,000 miles. Maintaining an engine is cheaper and easier than replacing one.
