Does The 2006 Sonata Radiator Fan Have 2 Speeds?

I have replaced my radiator, radiator cap, thermostat, AC condensor, the fan goes on but in slow traffic with the AC on my Sonata keeps overheating until I turn off the AC. Is there a sensor that can go bad? or is the fan not kicking into high speed

My best guess would be a defective water pump or a blown head gasket. Replace the water pump and see if that straightens out the problem.

If you suspect the fan, pull the car off the highway the next time it starts to overheat. Open the hood and see if the fan is operating at the normal speed. I don't think it has more than one speed.

Most car makers these days install two fans, one that runs all time and one that only kicks in when you run the A/C. Maybe The Hyundai makers should try that instead of the one fan system...
