Engine Overheating

Engine just started overheat, coolant is full

Hello michaelmowry1340 There are several things that cause overheating. The most common: Thermostat stuck in the closed position; low coolant level; water/antifreeze mix incorrect; hoses with leaks; clogged radiator; faulty water pump. Other more serious: blown head gasket; cracked cylinder head. thermostat (when driving engine is producing more heat that cannot be expelled as thermostat is only slightly open)
water pump - insufficient force to force coolant
- blocked/damaged radiator

Also check to see if the water pump drive belt is missing. If it is not missing, check to see that it is tight. If the drive belt seems to be satisfactory, check for coolant leaking from the radiator, hoses or under the car. (If the air conditioning had been in use, it is normal for cold water to be draining from it when you stop.)
