2005 Hyundai Elantra Gt Shudders While Driving, Manual Transmission.

Just bought the car...90000k.  The check engine light came on, blinking most of the time, and the car shudders, or jerks while I'm driving it...not hard, just slightly, but noticeable.  Jerks a little more after shifting, but seems to keep doing it even while holding the gas.  Anyone know?
