Mower Wont Keep Running

Hi, if it starts up but then dies, there's a good chance you have a problem somewhere in your carburetor.  To test this, start the mower up and keep pressing the primer bulb (or have someone else press it) and see if the mower keeps running.  If it keeps running as long as you press the primer, there is likely a blockage somwhere in the carburetor.  Sometimes you can clear this blockage by priming, but if you stop priming and the engine dies, take the carburetor off, clean it completely with carb cleaner and replace the gaskets if they look worn or dirty.  While you have it apart, you can also clean the fuel hoses and check for sediment or dirt in the fuel.
