does the hu675fe need a charged battery for the pull rope to start the mower and NOT the push start button? I don't have a charger. It's been lost and I bought it with a battery that is dead.

You should be able to start the machine by using the rope starter. The battery is an auxiliary option. If you do not have a charger you can obtain one from auction sites such as E-bay. This is one example.

eBay item number:285037974277

This is the user manual if you do not have one.

Hope that solves your problem. Please mark as helpful if it leads you to a satisfactory solution.Thank you.

The HU675FE does not need a charged battery to start with the pull rope. The push start button is powered by a battery, but the pull rope is not. If you do not have a charger for the battery, you can try starting the mower with the pull rope. If the mower does not start with the pull rope, you may need to replace the battery.

Here are some safety guidelines to follow when starting a lawn mower:

  • Always wear safety glasses when operating a lawn mower.
  • Make sure the area around the lawn mower is clear of people and animals before starting the mower.
  • Do not start the lawn mower if the engine is hot.
  • Be careful not to pull the starter rope too hard, as this can damage the starter.
  • If the lawn mower does not start after a few pulls, stop and check the engine for problems.

Here are some tips for troubleshooting a lawn mower that will not start with the pull rope:

  • Make sure the spark plug is properly gapped.
  • Make sure the fuel tank is full of fresh gasoline.
  • Check the choke to make sure it is in the correct position.
  • If the lawn mower still does not start, you may need to take it to a qualified mechanic for further diagnosis.
