Transaxle

I kknow the GT52XLS has a Hydro-Gear Transaxle. But, Can you tell me which one it is? I am trying to evaluate the durablility.

If you look up the illustrated parts list on husqvarna's web site the hydro-gear transaxle is model G7.  The equates to G730 which you can find on hydro-gears web site here http://www.hydro-gear.com/main/products/hydrostatic-drives/transaxles-with-differentials/g730

I've heard on forums this tranny has an external replaceable filter and if you check the specs, is really beefy.  same one that's in craftsman 6000gt which is why I'm purchasing one in the next few days! good luck
