Thermostat Switching Back And Forth From Heat To Cool.

We seldom use heat living in Texas but trying to change from air to heat on our Hunter 44860 7 day energy efficient thermostat by setting to heat at 66 degrees. Keeps switching back and forth from heat to cool without being programmed to do this?It is several years old. How do I get it to stay on the correct setting?
