H2 Center Console Opened From Back

As i was driving today, I heard a low buzzing noise in my H2 (2003). It sounded like a DVD machine opening up but much longer. when I pulled over I saw that the back of the console (where the radio controls and vents are had opened up. It had 2 metal cylinders on either side and the metal fuse box ?? had all slide back. I don't know why this occurred or how t close it. can anyone help with this?
