I Have An Old Hotmail Account That Has Been Deactivated Ca I Reactivate It?

I have a OLD hotmail accoint that has email being sent to it that i really need I havent used it on over 2 years I remember everything to login in for it but since it has been deactivated I dont know how to re open the email address do I make a new one with that same email address or can I reactivate it again since it has been so long since I have used it?

What if it says the id doesnt exist do I have to make a new one with that same name in order to get those emails?

To reactivate your Hotmail e-mail account, please follow the steps below:

1. Go to www.hotmail.com.
2. Type in your user name and password to log into your account.
3. You will be taken to a screen saying "Congratulations! A Hotmail account has been reserved for you."
4. At the bottom of the screen, click on the button that says "Activate my account."
5. When prompted with the MSN Terms of Use Agreement, click the "I Accept" button.
6. On the next screen, click the titled "Or, sign up for FREE E-mail (with a 2MB storage limit and without the other features)" located at the bottom of the screen.
7. On the next screen, scroll all the way to the bottom and hit the "Continue" button.
8. On the next screen, repeat step 7.
9. You will be taken to your Hotmail Inbox.

Note: If your account has been deactivated, you will not be able to recover any messages or address book contacts you had accumulated before your account was suspended.
