Having Trouble Overriding Schedule
temp not rising after raising temp and pressing hold to override permanent schedule

It sounds as though you have followed the instructions on Page 12 of this manual. Since the thermostat doesn't seem to have a reset, you might check your circuit breaker to your AC unit.
